Family Dog 2
Class Description:
This class is a continuation of Family Dog 1. During the class, students and dogs spend time reinforcing basic behaviors the dog learned in Family Dog 1 including sit, down, stand, stay/wait, loose leash walking, leave it and come. Emphasis is placed on extending duration and/or distance for each behavior and distractions are introduced. During the class, students are introduced to a variety of dog sports such as AKC Canine Good Citizen, trick training, scent work, agility, obedience and rally. Students are provided with options for further training and participation in each sport.
Pre-requisites:
Family Dog 1 or equivalent.
Proof of DAPP and Rabies are required to attend class. Bring proof of vaccinations to the 1st class. We recommend all dogs have Bordetella vaccine (Kennel Cough).
Class Location:
Lafayette Community Center (LCC) -- 500 St. Mary’s Rd, Lafayette.
Minimum/Maximum Number of Students:
The minimum and maximum number of students at each class is determined by the location and the class format. Classes will be cancelled if the minimum number of students is not met.

LCC registration is through the City of Lafayette Recreation Website. In order to register, you must first create an account.
