Family Dog 2

This class is a continuation of Family Dog 1. During the class, students and dogs spend time reinforcing basic behaviors the dog learned in Family Dog 1 including sit, down, stand, stay/wait, loose leash walking, leave it and come. Emphasis is placed on extending duration and/or distance for each behavior and distractions are introduced. During the class, students are introduced to a variety of dog sports such as AKC Canine Good Citizen, trick training, scent work, agility, obedience and rally. Students are provided with options for further training and participation in each sport.

Meets for 7 weeks for 50 minutes each week.

Limited to 10 students.

Cost: $174 for 7 week session

Prerequisites:

Family Dog 1 or equivalent, Dog's age 7 months older at start of class. Proof of DHPP and Rabies are required to attend class. Bring proof of vaccinations to the 1st class.

Equipment Required:

-- 6 foot leash and collar (flat-buckle, martingale or leather).
-- Bring your dog the first night.
-- Dog should be able to respond to common commands like Sit, Down and Come and be comfortable working in a class setting with other dogs.
